REaders Workshop
I encourage you to ask your child what their level is now and try to have them read books at that level. Reading books that above their reading level does not help them grow as readers, in fact it hinders their growth.
For homework each week, I will expect students to be reading 15 minutes a day. They should be reading their right level books and they can take a book home from the classroom library or find books at home or the library that they can read almost entirely by themselves (less than 5 mistakes in 100 words).
Below I will post students' reading level. For privacy I will display it using the students' line number instead of their name. I am constantly trying to test and move kids up to their right level, however, it does take a while for me to go through all the kids please be patient as I'm trying my best to get to them.
